Chuck Schumer made news when he “fake cried” during a presser on Trump’s temporary travel ban from 7 terror countries.
President Trump called Schumer out for his embarrassing theatrics.
The comedian spoke out against TRump in a lengthy Instagram post after he claimed New York Senator Charles Schumer cried “fake tears” when he blasted Trump’s order that temporarily bans refugees and citizens from several Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.
As she derided Trump for what she deemed his “awful decisions,” Schumer called the senator, who is her cousin, “transparent and genuine.”
“This is what he was thinking about at 621am,” she captioned a screenshot of the president’s tweet. “This was his tweet after his first soldier died. Also 8 Yemeni women and 7 children died and trump called the raid ‘successful’ Also I know chuck Schumer and HE CANNOT act trust me. He can barely smile on cue.”
She added, “He was hurt for those people and all the people facing such unconstitutional injustice.”
In her post, Schumer also went on to object a handful of Trump’s other policies.
“His Supreme Court pick will be terrifying and he will try and stop same sex adoption and all our other nightmares,” she wrote.
The Trainwreck actress ended her post with a call to action to stand up and continue to fight for “each other’s rights.”
“We can’t get burnt out or overwhelmed and distracted,” she wrote. “We need to stay focused and organized. Tell your friends who say ‘I’m just not political’ that that doesn’t cut it anymore. We need people alert and fighting for each other’s rights.”
“We need to fight this now and together,” she concluded. “Call congress. Call the senate. We need to wake up and rise up together. People need our help.”
