Since he was unceremoniously ousted from Fox News by 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch, legendary newsman Bill O’Reilly has been keeping a low profile and dedicating his time to working on his own projects.
At one point, O’Reilly entered into serious negotiations with the One America News Network to host a new show back on television. However, those talks fell through, and O’Reilly announced that he has launched a new nightly news series on his own website instead.
The new video series is titled “No Spin News Video” and its format is very similar to that of The O’Reilly Report. Viewers can pay $54.95 for a yearly membership to billoreilly.com to watch the video each night as it is released.
The following day, viewers can watch the episodes for free. Others in the media community predicted that this new model will prove successful. Commented radio and TV host Michael Smerconish, “I suspect he’ll attract a sizable audience. Passion sells.”
On his website, Bill O’Reilly released a statement about the new video show, saying, “Today we are starting an experiment, and we are seeking your feedback. This evening only Premium Members will see a new prototype production of the No Spin News and we will release that same prototype to the rest tomorrow in the hope we will recruit new PM’s to our surging crew. We look forward to your feedback.” Will you watch Bill’s new show?
